Thought of a DJ: Bringing back the classics

Hello-hello one & all its DJ Dizzy coming at you with a deep thought of mine so pay close attention.

Now I've noticed that there a lot of remakes coming out that of Teen Titans TMNT to name a few but I got a question. WTF? I've noticed that a lot of these classics are getting reboots especially animation wise. The least they can do is bring back the originals the way we remember them like they once were.

If there's one thing some of them don't neccessarilly need its to be remade especially through crappy animation from what I've seen for one that just downgrades the show & the appeal of it all together so the least they can do is just leave it alone as it was intended.

I also wanted to take the time to mention that  some of the more underrated shows of our time are making a comeback in their originality. Such as Clone High, Dexter's Laboratory, Rocket Power, Samurai Jack, The Maxx & Sonic Sat AM to name a few. Now if they can bring back some of those shows back then why not some of the shows we grew up on while there are some that're making are coming back the least we can do is see some more of the classics that we grew up on.

Also if some of you remember when there was a time when TV channels specifically on cable used to have some pretty awesome blocks such as......

The USA Cartoon express

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuRnyDKsBZY

The Action Extreme Team

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcmnJV2SuT4

Just to name a few examples but I digress. These were the shows that were worth waking up to & racing to finish your homework those sure were the days & we should show the next gen about how life was for us & the things we were lucky to have growing up. So my point in all this would be if something isn't broken then don't try to fix it.  And if you should balance out the classics with the remakes that way there's something for everyone.

Well I'm going to be on my way but before hand enjoy some of this

No Shame in it

I've ben meaning to get this issue off my chest so just hear me out on this matter: People are born different for obvious reasons. Take me for example I was born partially blind. Growing up I wanted to be apart of my middle school drill team.

I auditioned only to get turned down because they said that I was "too quick." But the real reason is only this: They saw my handicap & they made fun of me for it. But somethings in life you really don't need.

So I ask you this: Why do we feel like we need to belittle people based on their handicaps or ethnicity anyway? There's alot more to people than just how they look or how we act You could be some really good looking man with a trophy wife & still keep a low profile You could have every trophy ever made but at the same time what have you really accomplished with your life? Even the smartest people can do some dumb things. No matter if they're a genius or prodigy or even a savant.

Case in point: You should never look down on people who may seem different form you because you can learn alot from them (Yeah parents this is also for you too now.) There's a lot more to people than you think. So really get to know whats really going on.

Role playing & Larping

Hello there one & all Its DJ Dizzy here & normally I don't usually do this but this time around I'm covering a little something called role playing games & live action role playing. (I've been doing some studying on it so bear with me.) Here's some insight on it for those who don't know.

RPGs or role playing games are games that are played in which the person takes on the role of a character in a video or tabletop game & there's also lie action role playing or LARPIng in which people dress up as the character in a live action re enactment. Larping & RPGs are still done usually depending on who ever might be involved. There's many different types of RPGs to do some of which are video games & tabletop.

Video game RPGs involve people playing a virtual game thus becoming the character within the game itself. Sometimes this is done through larping via motion capture.

Tabletop gaming involves using strategy & determining what the character will do when playing sometimes points are involved depending on what game it is you're playing & also can also be some rules that can be considered complicated.

These are just some examples of what RPGs & Larping are all about though its not done as much the only time you ever really see it done is either at conventions or any other special events.

There are also plenty more games that may involve larping or RPGs such as:

The Legend of 6 Rings.

Laser Tag

Onimusha Dawn of Dreams

Ninja Gaiden

Soul Caliber

World of Warcraft & many others

These are just a few games that involve strategy & sometimes can be great to play either with one or many more players. As for me though I'm a beginner I've played my fair share of a few fighting games & strategy as well.

Dragonball Super Review

Hello to everyone on the internet & between its the DJ coming at you full throttle! This time around I'm talking about an anime that's back once again that of Dragon Ball Super.

Now after seeing a few episodes of this show I have to say that its just like watching DBZ Kai but I couldn't help but think of it as a precursor to that other show Dragon ball GT (I'll cover that travesty later on.) But anyway from what I saw there's mew alien cat named Beerus & what he does is go around traveling around sampling different cuisines of planets & if he doesn't like them he destroys them depending on if the food is good to him or not. (Douchebag food critic anyone?) But anyway as for our herpes We have Goku who's taken on the role of farmer turned millionaire & Vegeta who's still obsessed with beating him & he's a family man at that.

There's also Hercule who now answers to Mr. Satan (& no you didn't read that wrong that is his last name!) But anyway he's still considered a hero to some however when I saw this show I couldn't help but wonder why they did what they did to the characters I mean its probably a precursor to GT & DBZ Kai but still I couldn't really watch it. Mostly because the plot hardly made sense that & its kind of much.

So to Dragon ball Super unfortunately I'll gave to give this anime a solid 1 which is perhaps the lowest score I've given anything but needless to say that while DBZ is pretty cool I do like DBZ Kai however this is one show I could do without/ But also I couldn't get over Hercule's last name is Mr. Satan that just doesn't sit so well with me. But overall this really isn't working for me.

DJ recommends: The Legend of Five Rings

Hey there everyone its DJ Dizzy here & this time around I'm taking a break from my usual routine to talk about tabletop gaming. One game I found myself learning is the Legend of Five Rings. (Ask questions later)

It takes place in feudal Japan & is hugely involves aspects of some other Asian cultures. The Great Clans which can be up to seven or eight clans which have a well known reputation of some kind & each of them play  a huge role depending on what warrior class the character might be in.

The five rings represent the elements such as earth, wind, fire, air,  & void but represents 8 traits such as willpower, stamina, perception, agility, intelligence, awareness, & reflexes, but can limit character development  which would be the four rings that represent the elements while void can increase a characters inner strength. A character can only advance if both rings' traits are associated with one another.

The dice system uses 10 sided dice & uses what's called a roll & keep  with that you or your opponent can decide what number of dice is rolled or kept in the game.  When the dice or die is rolled a ten  it would then 'explode' in said situation then the player can roll up to three times.

As for character creation there can be 2 ways to create it such as a dice roll to determine its attributes depending on a number of points to spend & create but you can't do this with a ronin character because they start at a higher level. Points within a character can raise its skill levels while void rings & traits do the same you can also use these to gain new skills by way of purchase.

Here's an instructional video for those who are beginners or new to the game.

So if strategy based RPG games are your thing then this is a definite recommendation its a great way to learn about strategy & character building also its a good way to pass the time when you might be bored. (I suggest playing it with a few friends.) But it is a great game no less that has a lot to offer.

Well that's my recommendation for this month which I hope you enjoy. Just thought I'd try something a little bit different this time around as I mentioned in the introduction anyway here's hoping you enjoyed it.

And to close things out here's some music inspired from the series.

Until then we'll dizzy it up again next time. So for now I'm up over & ........of course GONE!!!!

Thoughts of a DJ: Valentines Day

Hey there one & all its your friendly neighborhood DJ Dizzy here & I've got yet another though that I should get off my chest. That of Valentine's Day, Now we all want to spend time with our loved ones since its considered a 'Lovers holiday.' But what about just getting together with some good friends & celebrating it that away?

Its hard when you have to celebrate things solo then again who'd want to. It'd be nice to just go with some friends & just take in a movie or listen to some music its nothing special but at least you're not alone. Valentine's Day shouldn't always have to be about love & romance but also friendships so the thing to do is celebrate that also. There are also some hang ups that I have about it such as the fact that there's a lot of hype surrounding it saying that you have to be a couple to necessarily celebrate it well you can celebrate it alone if that's your thing but me I wouldn't mind celebrating with some friends. Just saying, A holiday is special no matter how you celebrate it.

I guess my main point is when it comes to holidays don't go believing the hype no matter what. A holiday is like any other day even if it is special so try to make it special by way of a small celebration. But then again its more about hype & spending money then it is about celebrating love you really don't need one day of the year to show someone you care about then when you should show them you care everyday of the week by any means. Even if you don't have time try to make a little bit of it by scheduling a day or week if possible.

So with that said & off of my chest here's so tunes to get you wild.

Natalie Cole- What Wild Women do

Well that's all for now feel free to comment, Until then we'll Dizzy it up next time so I'm up over &............GONE!!!
