DJ'S Spotlight: The Music Of Whodini
Hello everyone DJ Dizzy here & I'm proud to present to you the music of none other than famed rap group Whodini who got their start in the mid 80s & are perhaps best known for their hit songs "Friends" & "The Freaks Come Out At Night." There's also my personal favorite "Rock you Again."
But since those days they've somewhat retired from the music scene but there songs still remain all time party jams & favorites to some including this DJ in training. But without further ado click the link & enjoy. Stay radicallly righteous!

DJ's Spotlight: An Interview with The Black Bullets
Hello one & all Its your good friend the DJ bringing you another interview with a band named The Black Bullets who had a lot to say about their success, This is their story:
Answer 1:
I personally got started playing music back when I was 15 / 16.. I’d go sit in the school music block at lunch and watch my friend, Sam, jammin on his guitar to Marilyn Manson and Korn tracks. He was that cool kid at school ya know? White boy with dreads, playing nu metal, and he was sound as a pound. He started teaching me some things and even lent me a guitar to learn on, before finally getting my own twanger to strum. I went on learning loads of power chord pop punk / drop D nu metal (It was the 90’s after all)
I carried on jammin on my own until I found myself in my first band at 19, when I joined forces with Mr Lance Skybaby, playing bass, funnily enough
Answer 2:
Answer 2:
Over the years, I’ve acquired a lot of influences / heroes / inspirations.
Meatloaf’s theatrics and stage show used to blow me away as a kid by just the passion of this one guy, his performance and how he was immersed in his music, in every performance. Guilty pleasure, but t’s the truth
As for guitar influences, I’m a huge fan of Joan Jett’s way of playing - The whole “less is more” thing, its all in the groove and the spaces to breathe between the notes - Cant go wrong!
I’m also a huge Dregen fan for the same reasons. I’m pretty sure he would give Joan Jett a nod, too, if he had to answer this question. Both legendary bad asses
I also give props to Tom Delonge of Blink 182, again for his simple power chord picking riffs - showed me how many great songs 3 guys could make out of just 3 or 4 chords, yet somehow kept it interesting. They just seemed to have some fun with it back then... and how could I forget Tim Armstrong of Rancid? That guy just looked cool as sh££t!
The way he played that low slung Gretsch , just ripping away at the top 3 frets.. he was so cool to watch in action, just makes you wanna move, man!
Answer 3:
My advice to other aspiring artists would be - Don't give up if you believe in yourself, because you’ll forever be wondering if the following year could be the year you would have blown up. Keep grinding!
Also don’t be afraid of new things when you write, don't get caught in the loop, look at as many genres as possible to draw influences from, lets keep it interesting!
And one last word of advice - If you’re feeling like you’re not getting anywhere, just take a second to look back at how far you’ve come, and what you’ve already acheived.
Answer 4:
Cool stuff in The Bullets cam to look forward to would be our upcoming show on 7th December, with The Crybabys at The Hope and Anchor, London.
Next year we will be playing with the mighty Wildhearts, and The Virgin Marys at Call of The Wild Festival - gonna be off the hook!
And finally w are hoping to finish our debut album in 2019.
Watch this space, bullets fans, and cheers for taking the time to read this interview and for following us on our journey, wherever it may take us

Kids Click Afternoon block campaign
Hello everyone Its your old friend DJ Dizzy here & I'm taking a bit of a break from the music scene to speak to you about a cartoon block that I brought up a while back, Kids Click.
Now while they do some awesome cartoons in the mornings they also need to expand into afternoons. Their schedule is constantly changing & they have a lot of shows that deserve to air in the afternoon as well so I feel that in addition to the mornings they should also air in the afternoons 2pm-5pm because for a good reason it'll give you & your kids something to watch when you all come home from school or work & to take the time to spend with each other & enjoy a good laugh or spark up some childhood nostalgia.
So I'm asking all of you reading this if you feel that Kids Click should also air an afternoon block because its their goal as well to make it happen. So feel free show support & visit their Facebook page & more importantly let them know you care.
Stay awesome.

DJ' Interviews: Flat World Theory
Hello everyone DJ Dizzy here & I say down with a band called Flat World Theory who had a lot to say about their success so pull up a chair & enjoy
Q: How'd you get started in music?
A: You could say that we all started the same way. We all started in small young bands making adolescent music learning the ropes of performance and songwriting and after a while it dawned on each of us that music is something we wanted to do. Flat World Theory was everyone's 3/4th go at being in a band wanting to make it professionally, we've all got the background of playing dirty pubs, playing in young punk bands and generally just being emersed in the alternative music scene so we all have that want to progress and become something more.
Q: Who are your inspirations or influences?
A: We've all got a little something different to each of us, while still having that main rock route in common. As a band the songwriting comes from James (Lead vocals and guitar). He's influenced by the likes of Foo Fighters and Incubus and that is what gives us an element of weirdness but also catchinessin our music. Russell (guitar and backing vocals) is more influenced by the likes of Reel Big Fish, The Darkness and The Offspring so that is where our tone and effects usually come from as he is a wizard at finding effects that suit us and our alternative nature. Rick (Drums) is influenced by the likes of 00s/90s punk and bands such as Fast cars and Deftones he's a tight drummer and keeps us all in line, they say the best bands have a killer rhythm section and we like to think we have that in Rick and Paul (Bass and Backing Vocals). Paul is influenced by the likes of Phil Lynott and Sting he's got one hell of a voice and helps to generally write the music and lyrics and get all those solid harmonies down while still keeping it tight on the bass.
Q: What advice would you offer aspiring performers?
A: One thing we always maintained is to have an element of blind faith when we write our music and release it. Having blind faith simply just means trusting in yourself to make music that you think sounds good. If you have false hope then you're always going to be let down because nothing will end up exactly as you hoped it would, with blind faith you're never going to be letting down any aspirations that you have, that's something that we as a band would definitely offer in terms of advice. Just keep on playing and if the music is good people will start to notice you
Q: Any new gigs or albums in the future?
A: we got a lot of things currently in the works it's only a matter of time before we can reveal what we going to be doing there is definitely going to be some new music releases very soon and definitely some more shows before the year is out but for now we can't say too much. Currently we are at the end of promoting our last single "I am the forest" so we urge you all to check that out and get ready for some new releases very soon
I wish them nothing but luck in their careers & nothing but the best. So until then Stay awesome & rock n roll!

DJ's Spotlight: An Interview with Best Not Broken
Hello one & all Its your good friend the DJ bringing you another interview with a band called Best b Not Broken who had a lot to say about their success, Here's their story
How'd you get started in music?
I believe we all got our start in Jr High or High School. I had played trumpet in school band since 4th grade but I was always fairly garbage at it. Once I picked up bass, it felt so much more natural. It's like your instrument of choice is only partially your choice. Some people are more inclined to different things. Same goes for Sports, writing, science, all that stuff!
Who are your inspirations or influences?
The first music I ever got REALLY into was AC/DC's "Who Made Who", and it wasn't until much later I found out it was the official Maximum Overdrive soundtrack! Bonkers!
The other album was Anthrax "Sound of White Noise" which is obviously their first album without Joey Belladonna, but I was so young, it was just a cassette tape I found and fell in love with.
In the mid-90s I got really into the melodic punk rock of the era (Strung Out, Lagwagon, Pennywise, Propagandhi, Rancid, Bad Religion) and learned to play as fast as possible. The other BNB guys are all over the place. We have such a broad influence base, I think it's what helps us dip in and out of so many genres. We're all from different worlds with just enough overlap to make it work.
What advice would offer aspiring performers?
How ever hard you think you need to work to reach your goals, you must be prepared to work even harder. There are always setbacks, false starts, opportunities that slip through your fingers. You just need accept it, learn from it, and keep moving forward.
Any new gigs or albums in the future?
Some choice dates!
9/15 - UnionFest 2018 (Milford, NH) - Amazing music fest with lots of different genres. Lots of Folk & bluegrass during the day, but the night brings out the rock!
9/26 - The Met (Providence, RI) w/ Fear of Missing Out - FOMO is a great group of melodic punkers. This is our 2nd or 3rd time playing with them.
9/30 - Pinz (Kingston, MA) w/ Nick Black Band - Nick Black & co. is a fantastic group of blues/rock/soul guys from Memphis who we played with once before and it was an epic combo!
10/19 - The Grape Room (Philly, PA) w/ Summer Scouts, Moonwalker - Our first time playing Philly! Presented by i99 Radio. Those guys are fabulous!
I wish them nothing but good luck in their success but until then that's going to do it for me. So stay awesome & rock n roll!
