Another Boomerrang Rant

Hello there everyone its DJ Dizzy here & I'm doing yet another rant on Boomerang.

They really should go back to the way they once were logo included at least give us a taste of what you once were before you became the debacle that you've turn into currently at least air more classic cartoons aside from Scooby Doo like say Josie & The Pussycats or at least bring back some of the old blocks you were known for like the holiday blocks such as stuff for Halloween & Christmas.

Those old shows made Boomerang what is once was, worth watching maybe if they brought back more of their old shows during the day they could get more viewers out of it,

That's all I have to say regarding Boomerang so here's hoping that they do what they can even if some of their old shows are On Demand.

The 2018 Grammys Review

Hey there one & all its DJ Dizzy here doing a review of the this years Grammys

Well this years awards were something to remember along with some of the performances but the thing is that most award shows are more about politics then about achievement & this proved to be just that.

Now I saw bits & pieces of the show & there were some moments that were okay but what I really thought was good was Logic's memorial tribute with his song inspired by the phone number of the suicide hotline (For those who hadn't have guessed.) But from what I noticed some of the acts were more about politics

So I want to rant a bit about this & other award shows that center around music. I just want to say that while the Grammys does spotlight true artistry I feel other awards show should do the same like the American Music Awards for example used to be about that & the performance itself even when they went live you could see that a lot of hard work was put into it.

And although I wasn't going to get off into it but there's also the Billboard Awards which is more about seeing who could sell the most CDs & have the most hits in a year.

And although I wasn't going to get off into it but there's also the Billboard Awards which is more about seeing who could sell the most CDs & have the most hits in a year. An award show to me should be about honoring talent & not just about who sold the most records or had the most hits. in some cases you do see that.

So those are just a few thoughts that I have about the Grammys & other award shows though it was more rant then review some stuff just had to be said regarding award shows.

A Poem for Chuck Berry

A poem for Chuck Berry

A roll rock n rolling pioneer
who mad music for one & all to hear
The legend introduced to many generations
through many decades your songs & music
are forever a true inspiration.

Though you left the world at your peak
which to us was way too soon
you left us dancing & your guitar playing
was enough to make us swoon.

You'll forever be a musical icon
Who taught us that rock n roll
will never die because of you
your message & music live on!

Superbowl 2018 review

Hey there guys DJ Dizzy here & I'm going to do a review of the this years Super bowl That's right I'm covering Super bowl LII which took place in Minneapolis MN

Taking place in the US Bank Stadium the Eagles took on the Patriots in their first ever showdown which proved to be quite memorable. There were a few spills & thrills & injury along the way one of the players on the Patriots suffered a concussion but in the end the Eagles took home the W with the score being 44 to 33 (Thank goodness they won.)

But the biggest highlights of the night were Pink performing her rendition of the National Anthem (Which she did an amazing job in my opinion) And the Halftime show featuring Justin Timberlake doing a medley of some of his past & current songs & a tribute to Prince which featured a hologram of the Purple one.

But I think the biggest highlight would have to be the commercials  (Which they really stepped up this time.) Though in some cases there were some that I enjoyed in which the one with Morgan Freeman & Missy Elliot doing a freestyle rap (Morgan proved to be a boss & I didn't know that he had it in him.) There were some with some decent messages as well.

But aside from the Mountain Dew Ice/ Doritos Blaze ad  would be the Tide ads in which other commercials were being interrupted to promote the laundry soap.  But aside from that it was a great game & I'm happy for the Eagles first win so congrats to them once more,

In the meantime here's a rundown of the commercials just in case you missed them.

A Poem for President Barack Obama

A Poem for President Barack Obama

The first ever black president
Who lead the free world
Uniting different diversities
Of every boy & girl
Bringing hope & getting us through
Tough times & days
Keeping calm & letting
nothing stand in your way.
To bring together a nation
& to bring peace was your master plan
& its because of you we did just that
So for that we say yes we can & amen.

Thoughts of a DJ: Having your own style

Hello everyone its the DJ coming at you this time around I'm giving you some food for thought that of finding your own style & being true to it.

We se copycats every single day  trying to be like the next big name or doing something to be famous but one thing we need to remember is that there's only one of you as it should be & you should share your own talents regardless of whatever they might be.

You have your own way of doing things & you shouldn't want to follow in someone else's shadow because if anything some of the people we assume are the coolest might not always be so cool but might just be about image or something else. My main point in all of this is to always be true to yourself & never go changing for anyone because we all have our own style & talents which are too special to be hidden.

So know this & take this piece of advice with you: My main point is that if there's one thing we've lost its our individuality & identity along with it because we want to be told what to like & do in order to be seen as cool to someone so we go out of our way to impress & be popular when instead you had what you need to be seen as cool just being yourself.

You don't need to spend money on things you think you need cause the truth is you really don't be true to yourself & do your own thing & most of all have your own style we don't need to be like the next big name that's out there or really impress anyone cause there'll always be someone with something to say & has their own opinions. Be above the crowd & have your own style.

Blue Helix Interview

Hi there everyone its DJ Dizzy here once again with an interview with the lead sing Sami of the band Blue Helix I recently asked him some questions to which he happily responded.

Dizzy: How did you get started in music?
Sami: I started playing guitar in high school after seeing Nirvana's "Smells like Teen Spirit" Video.
I studied and learned guitar on without any lessons. It always came natural to me.

Dizzy: Who would you site as your biggest inspirations & influences?

Sami: For me Chris Cornell is my biggest vocal inspiration. While bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, and others from the 90's era have always been my
primary influences.

Dizzy: What's your favorite song to play?

Sami: My song "Anodyne" off of our latest record Anti-Social Butterfly

Dizzy: Would you say that music has had a huge impact on your life?

Sami: It has saved my life. I grew up being bullied in school, and being bullied at home by an alcoholic father. So yes, music has saved me.

What kind of gigs are in store?

Blue Helix is touring Brazil in March.

Dizzy: Any new stuff in the works or on the way?

Sami: There is always music in my head. Right now we just released the newest Video for Anti-Social Butterfly so we are promoting that right now.
I am currently tracking some songs I recorded while in Brazil in November.

Well with that said be sure to be on the look out for Blue Helix you can catch their tunes on their You tube channel one song I suggest is Anti Social Butterfly which has a good meaning to it. So until then be radically righteous!
