Blue Helix Interview

Hi there everyone its DJ Dizzy here once again with an interview with the lead sing Sami of the band Blue Helix I recently asked him some questions to which he happily responded.

Dizzy: How did you get started in music?
Sami: I started playing guitar in high school after seeing Nirvana's "Smells like Teen Spirit" Video.
I studied and learned guitar on without any lessons. It always came natural to me.

Dizzy: Who would you site as your biggest inspirations & influences?

Sami: For me Chris Cornell is my biggest vocal inspiration. While bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, and others from the 90's era have always been my
primary influences.

Dizzy: What's your favorite song to play?

Sami: My song "Anodyne" off of our latest record Anti-Social Butterfly

Dizzy: Would you say that music has had a huge impact on your life?

Sami: It has saved my life. I grew up being bullied in school, and being bullied at home by an alcoholic father. So yes, music has saved me.

What kind of gigs are in store?

Blue Helix is touring Brazil in March.

Dizzy: Any new stuff in the works or on the way?

Sami: There is always music in my head. Right now we just released the newest Video for Anti-Social Butterfly so we are promoting that right now.
I am currently tracking some songs I recorded while in Brazil in November.

Well with that said be sure to be on the look out for Blue Helix you can catch their tunes on their You tube channel one song I suggest is Anti Social Butterfly which has a good meaning to it. So until then be radically righteous!
