Hey there all its DJ Dizzy here & I wanted to bring up something really important that of bullying
There has been a lot going on regarding bullying & its kids who aren't just doing it any more but also adults because of a sense of entitlement. So I can't help but ask the question: What did we truly do to deserve this? But the real question is " Why won't anyone step in & do something?" Mostly because we're too busy looking out for number one by that I mean ourselves. A good example of this is in most schools. with kids & most teachers.
There are teachers who'd rather harass students to exert their own authority to feel good & in turn the same goes for kids. Just have an excuse to feel good about themselves. I say this out of experience being born with a handicap so I say that just because you have any authority of any kind doesn't mean you should treat people however you like. You have a job to be a role model to your community, your friends & to yourself. Help someone even if it might mean becoming the victim yourself.
Its really sad to me that time & time again you see this behavior being repeated & no one actually does anything to stop it.
So my main point on this would be while though you might end up becoming a victim in the end its worth it to do the right thing. Just something to think about.
Well with that said I'm going to be on my way but we'll talk again soon so until then
Hey there everyone DJ Dizzy here & I'm shining the spotlight on a band called Four Trips Ahead.
This is a band that formed back in 2003 hailing from New York city. These hard core rockers came together to find a new sound & unleash their creative juices through music & their sound consists of heavy rock sounds with strong melodies with progressive dynamics. This in turn would soon land them some high energy audiences & fans.
But their music really does have a great feel combing strong melodies & rhythms. I too am a fan of their work & I highly recommend them for those who haven't heard them they're truly about the music & they prove it not just by their sound but also by their lyrics as well so as a fan of them I recommend them so if you want to know more about them can be found here.
Hey there everybody Its your old friend DJ Dizzy here & I'm covering an event that's wildly popular here in Omaha Nebraska that of their locally famous Omaha Lights Parade. a.k.a. The Festival of Lights
This is an event that happens once a year. I think the last one I remember was around 2006 back in December but anyway this is a must see event. for both visitors & natives alike. You'll get to see the city dressed up & decked out in many Christmas lights of many colors.
But in addition to this spectac sensation is that they hold many events in Downtown Omaha such as performances & so much more
So if you're new to Omaha or a long time native feel free to pay a visit depending on the weather & some links for more info shall be provided below.
Hello there everyone Its the DJ here & I'm going to be talking about a place I had the pleasure of seeing many years ago in Eden Prairie Minnesota. That of the Ice Castles.
They're very beautiful sculptures that people from all over come to see but the journey there is quite the task in its self having to take on degrees that can be quite bone chilling. But its worth it to take in winter in all its glamour.
The last time I was there was back in 2004 & in addition to the castes there are also many more ice sculptures as well as live shows. (I know its hard to believe but they have them.) But if you're not used to the harsh shear cold weather then there's the next best thing. The ice castles at the Mall of America.
Though its indoors you'll love the experience of this winter carnival & what it offers such as shimmering lights.
So for those living in either Eden Prairie or the Minneapolis area or are paying a visit during the wintertime feel free to stop by & take in the sights of this majestic winter carnival & what it has to offer. Also if you're brave enough to handle the cold this is without any question the definite place for you. So be sure to stop by & take in the sights they'll be great for your friends & family & you'll have some pretty cool holiday photos to go on.
So if you chance to visit Eden Prairie or are a native to the area in Minnesota then feel free to stop by
And be sure to bundle up because you're in for some shear cold & boy Minnesota has its far share of some serious artic chills so best of luck surviving. (Its worth it just to see this.) There are links provided on more info so feel free to have a look.
Hey there everyone DJ Dizzy here & I'm going to be talking about an event that happens every year around he holiday season that of the Holidazzle Parade in Downtown Minneapolis Minnesota. I've had the pleasure to see it in person twice only to feel chilling temps of close to 20 degrees but its worth it to see the sites & sounds that this parade has to offer.
It features many different volunteers from local companies & counties to celebrate the winter time as well as enjoy it by any means even if it means having to watch it in a hot tub or hot seats
There's a lot to look at when it comes to this light show as well as plenty of floats inspired by well know stories & fairy tales & performances from choirs & marching bands.
So if you're ever in the area or are a first time visitor feel free to pay a visit downtown & stop by & take in the lights as well as the many sights & sounds of this righteous & spectact phenomenom that's called the Holidazzle Parade.
Oh yeah & be sure to reserve some hot seats as early as you can cause they do go pretty fast that or just show up in a hot tub. (No lie there were people that saw the parade in a hot tub OUTSIDE IN THE COLD! Seriously that's cray-cray) But anyway feel free to take a peek how ever you prefer
I'd just watch it from home since its warmer. There's a link that provides info to the nights events
Hello one & all DJ Dizzy here just a quick heads up. My band Pyrostorm & I shall be recording some new tracks in the upcoming month the thing is we've been having a few set backs due to money problems & busy schedules but we'll be getting things together soon enough.
Other than that we hope you enjoy our music for we're working hard to make this happen since our main goal is to be the first ever hard rock band to feature visually impaired performers. So we ask that you show support & wish us luck. Thanks again. There's a Pyrostorm coming!
.
So for those who are visitors to Omaha or the Benson area feel free to check it out here's some info on what goes on so feel free to check out the following links.
Hey there everybody DJ Dizzy here and this time around I'm going to talk about a show that really got its dues that of Biker Mice From Mars
Now I've been watching the show & for those who don't know it tells the story of three mice who were injured in a war that involves their planet Mars when it get sold to some fish like aliens called
Plutarkians & the bros Throttle, Modo, & Vinnie have to try to save their planet only to land on Earth where they discover that one of them is masquerading as a business mogul.
Lets meet the bros shall we? First up we have Commander Throttle who acts as the leader of the group who provides the strategies & defenses for the bros & also has them numbered. He wears special sunglasses since his eyes were destroyed & is the only one of the trio that wears any actual clothing. He also wears a special cestus called nuke knucks & is perhaps best known for his quote.
"Guys let me tell you something: In this wild & wooly universe there are only three things you can count on, Your brains, your bros, & your bike!"
Modo (Pronounce Moto) is considered the muscle of the team though he also has a soft side he's very charismatic out of the three bros He lost his arm & his eye in the war but that doesn't stop him from doing what he can to protect anyone. When angered his left eye glows red & he's not only quick to quote his mother but is perhaps best known for his signature phrase, "Rat?! Let me tell you something my mamma didn't raise no stinking rat UNDERSTAND?!"
Vinnie is the loose cannon of the team who considers himself a real ladies man but though he can be a bit brash & obnoxious at times he's very loyal to his bros & his friends, He lost part of his face in the war but he doesn't let looks define or stop him from doing what he needs to, His signature phrase is "What a rush!"
There are also some supporting characters such as Stoker Van Rotten who serves as a scientist as well as their coach who at one time was perhaps the greatest fighter at one time but due to old age he coaches from the side lines. In the 2006 reboot he has an alter ego called Night Shift.
Charley Davidson is a human female mechanic who not only helps the bros with their equipment but also is a skilled fighter herself who can hold her own when it comes to any threats.
Carbine is Stoker's niece who acts as the general of the other Martian freedom fighters & is also Throttle's girlfriend. She keeps track of their progress on Earth & will occasionally pay them visits & alert them to problems when needed.
Of course you have your typical bad guys who want to by up Mars or take their water supply to doom both it & Earth, The show itself may seem weird to some adults & kids but its actually pretty funny what with some of its elements of slap stick comedy.
There's also an original soundtrack with music composed by none other than Jeff Scott Soto who also sang the theme song for the show, (His prowess really shows it.) But overall it has flashing images that may be too much for a few viewers who are epileptic but its still in good fun it features a top notch voice cast as well.
But for those who haven't seen the series you can see on DVD but overall its okay & pretty funny.
So I recommend it. So with that said here's some music inspired by the show.
Hello there everyone Its your old friend DJ Dizzy here with yet another post. Today I'm taling about a place that provide both education & entertainment all roll into one. That of the Science Museum in Minneapolis Minnesota.
Now this place may look like a university but don't let the look of it fool you. There's a lot to learn & do with many different exhibits to go on ranging from such as ride simulators & dinosaur fossils, Different cultures, Space exploration, as well as live demonstrations of how things work.
Now speaking from experience I've had the pleasure of visiting the place many times & they have different exhibits each month which can involve simulations such as music exhibits I remember they had some stuff in there like how sound worked but I was mostly about the theatre which is our next stop on the tour.
There's also the most perhaps famous & well known IMAX theatre which was originally known as the Omni Theatre. They play many different movies each month that are literally in your face. I say that because when I went there many years ago the screen was huge & you felt like you were apart of it In some ways its kind of scary seeing all this stuff like its coming right at you but that's the beauty of it.
But its not just about the exhibits & the huge IMAX theatre they also hold events such as weddings & dances & any kind of events that you can think of.
There's plenty to do for the entire family so if you live in the Minneapolis area & looking for something to do & also looking to learn something new or just have some fun then by far this place is for you. There's plenty to do & you won't believe your eyes the moment you walk through those doors.
Hey there one & all. Its your old friend DJ Dizzy here with a place that I'm sure you'll want to check out if you're either a native or visitor to Omaha Nebraska that of the Old Market District.
Now it may not look like much but don't be deceived because this place is busting at the seems with stores & restaurants of many kinds as well as so many businesses .
During the day its all business but once the night falls even on a Friday there's another story. Because that's when things really come alive!
They have a lot going on such as horse drawn carriage rides as well as many parties going on around the holidays as well so many sites to take in.
So if you're in the area & looking for some fun for friends & family then by all means feel free to stop by & take in the sights, tastes & sounds of the Old Market but be sure to play it safe when visiting at night because anything can happen.
But if you're visiting the Omaha area or are a native feel free to stop by. I garauntee that it'll be a time you'll never forget.
Hey there all DJ Dizzy here & I'm going to speak on a topic that's way overdue that of cliques & clubs.
Now we've all seen them around be it in school or anywhere else they come in many types one of them being cool or good looking. But the main thing is we feel like we want to be apart of them because we figure we're good enough & cool ourselves only to be fooled. In some ways the thing is some of them may call themselves your friend but its all a setup sometimes depending on who you know. If there's one thing I've experienced both in real life & on TV cliques & clubs are nothing to be apart of since its all the same you do something for them & they let you join up regarding what it might be.
I say this because there was a time that I wanted to be apart of one only to experience harassment & abuse. It was heartbreaking so much so that I still have an emotional scar from it. But it also provided a life long lesson its best to know who your real friends are & stick with them regardless if they're cool or not the only thing that should matter is how they treat you & if they show you respect & treat you right then they're worth your time.
Also its better to ask yourself what are they really looking for as well as is it worth it because sometimes they'll intentionally leave you or your friends out of something like an event of some kind.
You sometimes don't know how it makes others feel so much so that you feel like you're superior because of what you have-- that of clout or authority of some kind.
So my main point is you should join a club or a clique because you want to meet people who have the same thing in common as you & learn something new & have your friends join up if they want to get to know new people or get out of their comfort zone & try new things after all that's the main purpose of them.
Well hopefully those are some good tips & words of wisdom to live by & here's hoping you readers will take all of this to heart & mind also remember in some cases you're just better off without any of them because as long as you have someone talking about you then they'll never forget you dare to be different dare to be unique.
So with all of that said & out of the way here's some tunes
What's this weird sensation?
It nothing but RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION!
(Hard Rock Instrumental)
(Verse 1)
I'm so sick of all the injustice in the world.
I already know its tough to be a girl.
tired of being misjudged becuase I was born blind
& this is one girl thats gonna speak her mind.
about what you do.
& all I wanted was someone to look up to.
(Chorus)
Righteous indignation flows in my soul
I feel it surging out of control.
Tired of hiding so get ready to fight.
It's up to you to make things right.
Get ready to feel the sensation of
RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION!
Feel the sensation of righteous indignation
(Repeat 3x)
(Verse 2)
Skinny models here, there, & everywhere
Why can't knowledge make you stop & stare?
Why do we worship beauty when it only fades away?
that some things about it are all fake?
To all the stars that I once knew then
believing in you was a huge mistake.
Hello one & all it's DJ Dizzy here & this time around I'm talking about perhaps one of the coolest cartoons around here's a hint I wrote a song about them a while back. That of the SWAT Kats
Now SWAT Kats the radical squadron was perhaps one of the most underrated cartoons of the 90s & was the biggest & most successful shows way back when it originally started out on Fox Kids as well as TBS & Cartoon Network as part of a block called 'The Fantastic World of Hanna Barbara.' in the 90s. Now for some that aren't quite familiar with it allow me to bring you up to speed. It tells the story of to cats which are called 'Kats' & they live in a place called Mega Kat City which but it centers around 2 Kat pilots named Chance Furlong & Jake Clawson who were working in their local police force called the Enforcers. While in pursuit of a bad guy their boss Commander Feral caused them to crash up into Enforcer headquarters. In addition to getting kicked off the force they had to work in a junkyard to pay off their debt but while there they get the idea to create their own weapons & signature jet the Turbo Kat out of what was there & then re invented themselves as T-Bone & Razor & the rest is history. Now when I was younger I watched the show quite a bit when it was on Fox Kids, then Boomerang & CN respectively. That was back when both Boomerang & CN had something good to offer as far as shows went. But I'll say this about the show by far a real adrenaline rush of action & adventure with good character development even the females played a good role such as Callie Brigs the deputy mayor who alerted the SWAT Kats whenever trouble brewed. There was also Mayor Manx who was all about the Mega Kat Tower & playing golf but he does care about the city & the people. Commander Feral who though that he & his enforcers could get the job done but really couldn't & then you had the SWAT Kats T-Bone & Razor. T-Bone for those who don't know is the burly looking tabby Kat who flew a jet & served as the loose cannon & muscle for the team. Razor serves as the RIO as well as worked the weapons & created them. He serves as the brains of th team in addition to being a skilled martial artist who'd occasionally saves Callie whenever she got into danger. Then you had Ann Gora who was the ace news reporter who was on the scene as would sometimes get into trouble herself but always got a good story & handled herself very well. Then Lt. Felina Feral who was perhaps in my opinion the toughest she Kat in the show since she took no mess & could really handle her own even with the SWAT Kats & her uncle when needed. You also have the bad guys who were out to either destroy the city or conquer it. They were the typical cookie cutter bad guys but they always got taken down & there were the occasional monsters of bad guys of the week. But overall it was by far the coolest & underrated shows which only lasted for 2 seasons but for some reason got cancelled (Way too soon in my opinion.) There's also a reboot in the works called SWAT Kats Revolution which probably will be on the air hopefully & I'm guessing that it'll pick up where the original left off. I'm also thinking the original voice actors will reprise some of their old roles hopefully & I'm also thinking they'll be some new characters both good & bad. So here's hoping that the show does prove to be successful & that it features what was supposed to be the unfinished episodes. I predict that they might even hire some new voice actors to play Commander Feral & Dark Kat unless they have some old recordings leftover but overall we'll see what comes out of it. So if it does make a comeback & we're all hoping & praying that it does I just want to say that lets hope its as cool as it was back then animation wise & plot wise also. So all I can say is best of luck to you guys & here's to your future success. So with that said & done here are some videos to display how awesome these Kats are Enjoy! Hey there one & all DJ Dizzy here & this time around I'm doing a review of the popular block Kids Click, Now its been a month since its debut & since then its really taken off My thoughts on the block are as follows. First of all I love the fact that they've brought back morning cartoons & they're pretty good especially since they do a mix of action & comedy cartoons.
My personal favorites are Pac Man & the Ghostly Adventures, Miraculous, Pink Panther, ScaryLarry, Max Steel is okay on the other hand but if any thing they should air newer episodes of the shows which they do but also what would be really cool if they brought cartoons back on weekday afternoons just a little something after the daytime stuff ends.
When I was a kid there was cartoons in the morning that came on at around 6:00am then in the afternoon 3:00pm those were the days when you could do your homework while watching cartoons or just mellow out even before the day began. But still seeing morning cartoons once again really brings back nostalgia for me because in a way its like your childhood sort of comes back.
Especially on both Saturday & Sunday mornings because if anything that was the best time to stay home on the weekend you didn't want to be disturbed when your shows came on. Now I had some favorites from my childhood such as , SWAT Kats, Sonic Sat AM & Adventures of & there's Sailor Moon to name a few. (Yeah I watched quite a bit & they had some good ones.) But anyway what I really enjoy about Kids Click is that its on everyday so something tells me that this is something that'll last for a long time & maybe if we're really lucky maybe might expand.
So here's to you Kids Click & here's hoping that you keep going strong & coming from someone who's a kid at heart that says a lot & thanks so much for bringing back morning cartoons maybe someday we'll see more of your shows in the afternoons in addition.
Hello there everyone. DJ Dizzy here with some exciting news it regards the return of perhaps one of the most popular sci fi anime that of Outlaw Star.
Now from what I've seen it follows the adventures of Gene Starwind a 20 year old who experienced seeing a traumatic space fight which caused his father's death & hatred of space pirates at the age of 15. He runs a business with an 11 year old kid by the name of Jim Hawkins but end up leaving the job to be bodyguards to an outlaw named Hilda but get into a scuffle with some space pirates called Kei pirates & then soon find themselves the owners of a space ship called the Outlaw Star the real name of it is (XGP15A-II ) To save some time here's a link of the characters. Outlaw Star characters https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Outlaw_Star_characters This is considered a space opera style action adventure comedy I saw bits & pieces of it in promos but from what I've heard its supposed to be really good & it looks like it might be. The animation is perhaps on par & the theme song is something that'll get you pumped watching it. But its really cool that Toonami is going to bring this back on the 29th so be sure to be on the lookout for it if you want to some old school millennial nostalgia. With that said here's something to get you ready for it. Enjoy! Outlaw Star- Through the night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q9I-3tpqbk
But overall here's hoping you enjoy it stay righteous!
Hello there everyone. Its DJ Dizzy here just doing a quick update on the status of my band Pyrostorm. Right now we're currently trying to get an instrument for one of the members as well as trying to come up with a decent time & day to practice.
But other than that we're doing the best that we can to get prepared & us fully situated. However when we do be sure that we'll have plenty of videos to show in addition to lyrics that I've worked on. Be patient & I'll keep you updated as best I can thanks again
Hey there all DJ Dizzy here & once again I need some time to get some things off my chest. It has to do with how people are or can come off as jerks. But mostly how handicapped people are treated. Now speaking as a victim there were times I've seen some of us exploited, verbally abused, harassed, among other things so what I'm asking is why?
Is it because we're different or because we're trying our best to be what we can & you're feeling inferior so because of this you put us down? I know the real truth. And its the reason why some people tends to be jerks is because they want to seek the attention that they never received from their parents or their peers so you do what you can to seek something you never had by faking a handicap or blaming other people for your problems cause you know you can get away with it.
Other times you get swept up into a lifestyle that you've created for yourself to a point where you forget & forsake who you really are & you'd do anything to keep up your newfound image & stats. But something we all have to remember at one time we wanted to be like our idols or the coolest people in school or our neighborhood.
Other times people focus too much on money which is an even bigger downfall. But also know this there's about at least a lot of people out there that rather walk away from stardom because the only thing it ends up doing is dragging you down. So I speak from experience when I say that its better to know who your real friends are & never try to always want or hope for more. Because its just better to be happy with the things that you have. You don't need to have everything to feel good about yourself.
This song goes out to all the girls out there. Enjoy!
I'm not your baby-lyrics
(Verse 1)
You can put in in a short dress
Make up, jewelry, & take down my hair
Suddenly you say I’m yours
Then your friends want to stop & stare
But one thing I’ll never be
Is a piece of your property.
So listen up real good
Cause I’m saying this only once.
(Chorus)
Just because you claim I got some skills
I’m not one of your cheap thrills.
I’m not someone you can call out
On your little score card.
I’m not your female dog
You want respect from me
Well let’s get something straight
I’m not your baby!
(Verse 2)
You smooth talk your ways
All day filling up my head with lies
Your words & your appearance
Are just nothing but a disguise
I’ve got you all figured out
We know what you’re really about
Give a listen!
(Chorus repeats)
(Guitar solo, Instrumental.)
We are a sisterhood we are proud!
Everybody shout out loud!
Hello once again everyone. It's the DJ with some pretty sad news. It's been announced that the lead singer of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington was found dead on Thursday morning. It was reported that he hung himself due to depression as well as having issues with both drugs & alcohol. It was also announced that the band also had a tour & concert planned fir next moth.
Now when I first heard this I was in shock because I myself am a fan of Linkin Park so to hear that the lead singer committed suicide really hit home for me because in addition to some famous singers I knew someone that not only suffered depression but also committed suicide as well.
Depression is perhaps one of the biggest art of anyone's life even I've had my shares of self doubt as well as bouts with it. But its better to deal with it by talking about your problems first hand with someone you can trust. Also when it comes to suicide don't be scared to get the help you need. You've got to plenty of choices on how to handle life & the best way is to try to survive it. There's no real sense in running away all you can really do is live life as best you can.
But also I send out my deepest condolences & prayers to Linkin Park as well as the rest of the fans of the group & if you know someone who suffers from suicide or depression in general don't be afraid to get to speak to them & get help. There's going to be a suicide prevention link underneath.
Well that's all I have to say on this matter once again I send out my condolences to Linkin Park as well as the rest of the fans & I hope for nothing but the best in these troubled times.
Hello there one & all DJ Dizzy here & this time around we're talking about Omaha Days which is a big festival that happens every 2 years in Omaha. There's so much events that go on such as concerts, banquets, & more. Here's a website of all that goes down.
There's so much to look forward to as well as a lot to do. So if you're a native to Omaha NE or a visitor who's looking for something to do well feel free to stop by & take in the sites of this festival which I hope you enjoy.
So until then this is DJ Dizzy saying that we'll Dizzy it up soon Juice, Jam, & ROCK ON!!!
Hey there one & all its DJ Dizzy here Tis time around I'm going to do a review of something that has been a long time coming, That of Toonami.
Well for those who aren't really familiar it originally got started in 1997 only to then disappear back in 2008 & then make a successful comeback in 2012, ( I knew it wouldn't stay gone long.) But anyway now its on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. So my main thoughts on that would be as cool as that is I think its a great fit for it.
When you really think about it Toonami did start Adult Swim in the first place cause some of their anime shows on their original block were pretty extreme. If I can remember they used to air some shows that of Big O & the Tenchi series to gain a more mature audience from it during the weekdays that or gain some edge.
Also back then in addition to airing on weekdays there was also weeknights & Saturday mornings as well (Midnight Run & The Rising Sun) Now the shows on there specifically for the younger set & I admit I used to get in trouble for trying to watch The Midnight Run but I made up for it with the other stuff.
Toonami now as cool as it is to see again what I really enjoy are the motivational speeches & game reviews which they still do from time to time as well as their rebooted version of the Intruder story they did which was a long time coming but still very radical. So I guess I have to say that it's good to see Toonami back in action & doing just as well as before.
So here's to you Toonami & keep up the good work. However one thing I truly mis are the music videos that they'd show every now & then so if they could do that next to everything else then we'll be set.
So until then this is DJ Dizzy leaving you some of this
Toonami- Dreams
